Today was Hourly Comic Day 2013. I decided to participate and actually finished a comic. It has been a while since I actually finished something. It is rather lengthy so I am putting in a break after the title page. I don’t want to swamp people with slow connections.

Hi, today is 24 Hour Comics day. I managed to finish something a few years back. Today I tried again, but it is pretty obvious that I’m not going to finish on time. The first two pages took about four hours. I don’t have time or endurance to finish this year, but maybe I’ll finish it during the rest of the year. Good luck to everyone else.
Today (May 25th) is Towel day. It celebrates Douglas Adams and the Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy books. You can see more at: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Towel_Day. So, if you can, carry a towel around with you today, you never know when you might need it.
Also tomorrow (May 26th) is Mini-Comics day. You can see more at: http://www.minicomics.org/. I plan to make a 8 or so page mini-comic. Maybe I’ll even post it here. I hope you will join in on the fun too. If you have an idea for my mini-comic feel free to send a comment soon. The comments are moderated so it may take a while to show up. I got my first pharma-spam comment just the other day (ah memories).
Oh, one last thing, the moldy sandwich from several posts back was thrown out a week or two after I posted the picture. I was going to show a picture per month to see how the mold spread but cleanliness finally prevailed.

Below is my entry for March MODOK Madness. Even evil overlords have to deal with problems at the office.
So, this last week was busy. On Saturday, it was the Taylorsville Art show. So for the last few weeks I have been making my nieces and nephews draw pictures for it. I was sick with the flu and never got any picture done myself which I am sad about. The good news is, my extended family came through with a fair number of awards. My Dad got a white ribbon, one of my nieces got a red ribbon. I also have one nephew who got a blue ribbon (see below), and another who got a peoples choice award. On a side note, the one who got the peoples choice award didn’t know he was getting an award. So he was REALLY annoyed when his big brother with the blue ribbon started gloating about his ribbon.
I didn’t really get to see much with the Art show. My sister was buying a car and I didn’t get there until the award ceremony was almost over. Oh well, maybe next year, or at least I’ll try again at the county fair. I think we made the car salesman feel really rushed — sorry.
So on Sunday (after the show) I found a sketch I started a while ago. It is based on the “Storm Dragon” from a how to draw dragons book. I thought it was pretty cool so it is posted below. Too bad I didn’t get it done until after the show was over. I probably wouldn’t have gotten an award but I could have put something in.
